The first and second SDHI Postgraduate Retreats took place at Kindrogan Field Centre near Pitlochry in April 2005 (3 days) and June 2006 (2 days). See http://www.field-studies-council.org/kindrogan It attracted students from a number of disciplines, including Geography, Management, Medicine and Nursing. The retreats involved a range of student-led presentations, discussions and staff-led training.

The retreats were well evaluated, and participants' comments were:
"The programme was appropriate and well balanced in that it allowed those of us attending to learn about the breadth of subjects and disciplines within SDHI and to get to know one another!" ..
