My own interests are the impact of information technology on clinical and strategic decision making. The multi-disciplinary research activity within Dundee's newly established Health Informatics Centre forms the basis of a program of research aimed at discovering how data may be converted into clinically useful knowledge and how it may be presented at a rate and in a sequence which allows clinicians to integrate the electronic information with their intuitive skills.
I also try to involve researchers and primary care professionals working together at all levels of the research paradigm in The Tayside Research and Development network (TayRen).
