An underlying premise of the SDHI is that public health problems can best be addressed through inter-disciplinary research with a strong user focus. To this end, the SDHI are interested in facilitating a coming together of local groups with overlapping interests - with a view to fostering new local research synergies. In doing so it is important that we are able to move beyond mere discussions and sharing of views - and towards more concrete proposals for the development of collaborative research programmes.
SDHI is prepared to offer seed corn monies, as well as practical support, to foster the emergence of new synergistic research collaborations across (but not limited to) Tayside and Fife. This support will include:
